Sales Tip of the Week from Mike Leeds – Pro Sales Coaching
Watch the Birdie
Social media is easy to access and it's all around us. Earlier this month during an NFL game, Tennessee Titan's Defensive Coordinator, Chuck Cecil "flipped off" the referee and was fined $40,000 (you can check it out on YouTube). It's one thing to be caught on video by a Smartphone, but you're really asking for it when you're in a stadium filled with 70,000 fans and dozens of television network cameras. We are all accountable for our actions. As salespeople, we are always on duty! We are representing ourselves, our company, and even our community.
How many times have we seen/overheard someone do/say something regrettable, and it has impacted our opinion of them - or impacted our decision to do business with them?
Don't become your worst enemy – think before you react, say, or do something you might later regret. I know it sound like a "duh" topic – but I thought it would be a timely reminder.
Have a great sales week!
